We are excited to announce that we have new coaches for Destin High School Athletics! Let’s all welcome and extend our warm greetings to Shannon and Ryan Tucker, our new cheer coaches! 

Shannon has over 21 years of coaching experience and 10 years of judging experience. She went on to cheer at the University of Central Florida and received a Bachelor’s degree in Sports and Fitness, specializing in coaching and sports injuries. She coaches the cheerleading teams at Destination 850, built the preschool program, and coached several tumbling and school team classes. Shannon has also worked at Universal Studios in Orlando as a stilt walker and trained in aerial silk. You can see her in the movie “Bring It On; In It to Win It” as a cheerleader on the Prairie Dog cheer team! 

Ryan attended the University of Florida where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business with a major in Marketing and a Master’s Degree in International Business. At UF, he had the opportunity to take a Coaching Gymnastics class and serve as a Teaching Assistant for a Gymnastics class offered by the Sport and Fitness department. 

Shannon and Ryan are now the proud owners of Destination Athletics, which offers cheerleading, tumbling, and other fitness and acrobatic classes for kids.

Let us all extend a heartfelt welcome to our new coaches, Shannon and Ryan, as they begin their journey here at Destin High School.
