On Tuesday, December 6 the Destin Sharks Boys Basketball Team picked up their first official win by beating the Freeport Bulldogs 87-85 in an instant classic. The DUMC (Destin United Methodist Church) gymnasium was packed and roaring as the game entered the final seconds of an 85-85 contest when Deshawn Ford pulled up for a game winning shot with 4 seconds left. The Sharks defense made one last stop to pick up their first official win in school history with Ford leading all players with 28 points. Additionally, Allen Collins added 16 points, Syr Rhodes and Baylen Knox with 14 and Sonny Taylor with 11. It was a total team effort in the comeback win and one that will be remembered for a long time.
