Ciara Reistad is the head coach of Destin High School’s first ever beach volleyball program and was also the JV coach for DHS’s indoor volleyball program in Fall 2021.

Raised in a sports and music family, Ciara was born and raised in Palm Springs, California and competed as a serious gymnast for 8 years. When she was 13, her Dad placed her in a volleyball camp and fell in love immediately. Ciara went on to play Division 1 indoor and beach volleyball at San Jose State University and graduated with a degree in Molecular Biology and minors in chemistry, bioinformatics, and genetics. In Summer 2021, Ciara made the move to Fort Walton Beach Florida and is never going back! Currently, she is competing as a sponsored beach volleyball athlete in hopes to compete on the AVP Pro Tour. Besides coaching and playing volleyball, Ciara is going back to school to become a Registered Dietitian. Her Father, Rob, was a football and trumpet player and went on to become a professional trumpet player. Her Mom Sonia, was a competitive gymnast and diver, and her brother Dakota played college football and baseball and is now playing professional rugby for the LA Giltinis Rugby Team.
